Birgit Püve (1978) is a photo artist based in Estonia. She studied Social Sciences at the University of Tartu, Estonia (MA 2017). In her work, she has focused mainly on the exploration of memory and identity. Besides her artistic practice, she is a teacher of photography at an elementary school in Tallinn, teaching analogue photography for children, and works part-time at the archives of the Arvo Pärt Centre. In her most recent work, she investigates how mental landscapes are shaped by the surrounding landscapes and vice versa.
