Eliis Laul (b. 1991) is an Estonian photographer and artist currently living in Japan, who is studying in the Doctoral program in Art in the University of Tsukuba. Her work focuses mainly on street photography and photo book making based on photos taken around her hometown in the Japanese countryside; but as well as ceramics, paintings and poetry, which allow her freedom and variety in expressing her experiences. Her current research field involves topics related to spirituality and mythology and their various reflections in photography and in the Japanese traditional arts.

Laul has studied photography and contemporary art at the Estonian Academy of Arts (BA 2019, MA 2021) and psychology at Tallinn University (BA 2015). She has had a total of four solo exhibitions and her works have been shown in several group shows in Estonia, Germany and Japan. Laul has been a member of the Estonian Union of Photography Artists since 2020.
