Andre Joosep Arming (b. 1995) lives and works in Tallinn. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in photography (2018) and a master’s degree in contemporary art (2024) from the Estonian Academy of Arts.
He creates from the meeting point of memory and transformation, working with moments that return and ask to be understood. Using Polaroids, video, and diary-based writing, he traces shifting versions of the self, exploring birth, death, and the cycles that shape a life. Through these fragments, he moves toward life’s thresholds and invites viewers to find their own reflections within them. He is a member of the Estonian Union of Photography Artists and the nonprofit Siirdatud süda (Transplanted Heart), and has participated in numerous collaborative projects.
