Andre Joosep Arming (1995) lives and works in Tallinn. In his creative work, Arming primarily employs polaroid and video mediums, as well as the format of a diary. Characteristic themes of Arming‘s work include birth and death, life experimentation, the timeline, and cyclicality. Arming obtained his bachelor‘s degree in photography from the Estonian Academy of Arts Faculty of Fine Arts in 2018. Following this, he continued his studies in contemporary art, taking time to further develop his position as an artist. In October 2022, he underwent a heart transplant. This year, Arming participated in the group exhibition “Gentle Gestures of Self” at the EKA Gallery (curator: Kaisa Maasik), and in late spring, he will participate in the TASE ‘24 graduation exhibition at the Tallinn Art Hall.
